Tokyo-based Sound Artist / Spatial Sound Designer
Sound as a spatial condition — shaping perception through layered states, resonance, and the subtle transformation of atmosphere.
Takuto Molio is a Tokyo-based sound artist and spatial sound designer working across exhibitions, installations, and commercial environments.
His practice explores the relationship between sound and space, approaching sound not as melody or narrative, but as a condition that alters how a place is perceived. Through layering, overtones, and the articulation of mid–high frequency textures, he creates internally pulsating sonic states that quietly transform the character of an environment.
Rather than treating sound as an isolated object, Molio works with atmosphere, spatial drift, and perceptual nuance. His work moves between artistic and applied contexts while maintaining a consistent focus on how sound can intervene in urban and architectural space.
Selected projects include sound design for AXIS Gallery, Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, and GINZA SIX.
